About the Opportunity
This role offers the chance to make a meaningful difference in people’s lives each day. EML is looking for a Mobile Case Manager on a 12-month secondment basis, covering Coffs Harbour and nearby locations.
The role is centred on early, prompt and personalised in-person claims management to support injured workers and assist employers throughout the return-to-work process. Because of the travel involved, you will need to move around the region to meet stakeholders, with travel limited to a maximum of 3 hours each way.
You will complete around 8 customer visits each week. To help you carry out the role, a laptop and mobile phone will be supplied, along with either a fleet vehicle or a car allowance for regional travel.
Key Responsibilities
- Offer tailored face-to-face support to workers and employers.
- Provide guidance on workers’ compensation matters to workers, employers and providers.
- Carry out community-based visits, including visits to workplaces and medical clinics when needed.
- Work proactively to achieve the best possible recovery outcome and support an early, sustainable return to work.
- Engage with providers, employers and return-to-work specialists as required.
About You
The ideal candidate will bring strong experience or knowledge in rehabilitation and return-to-work case management. Familiarity with NSW workers’ compensation laws and regulations is important. You should be a strong listener with sound conflict resolution ability, and be capable of understanding the needs of people recovering from physical or psychological injury. Attention to detail, strong organisation, and excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.
A background in allied health is considered an advantage, particularly if you understand medical terminology and typical injury recovery timelines. A current unrestricted NSW driver’s licence is required.

Additional Information
This is a 12-month secondment position. The role requires regular travel across the region, with a maximum of 3 hours travel time one way. On average, about 8 visits are expected each week. A laptop, mobile phone, and either a fleet car or car allowance will be provided.
