Core technical expectations

• Hands-on knowledge of Unix and job scheduling tools, with Middleware exposure preferred.
• Strong experience with file transfer technologies, especially for migration-related work.
• Practical understanding of WebLogic deployments, including JAR deployment, node restarts, and handling MQ queue/channel operations such as hold and release.
• Working knowledge of JBOSS.
• Ability to identify and resolve deployment issues in WebLogic.
• Familiarity with tools such as JIRA, Jenkins, Docker, and other DevOps platforms is an added advantage.

Operational and support responsibilities

• Balance several priorities at once and allocate time effectively across projects and support tasks.
• Carry out technical triage, support, and remediation within a broader production or enterprise environment.
• Assess project or technical risks using available information and provide operational recommendations.
• Deploy WebLogic applications through command-line or console-based methods.
• Restart nodes, Node Manager, and Admin Server when required.
• Monitor Autosys jobs, including force-start actions, log analysis, and issue troubleshooting.
• Promote Autosys jobs and manage or create related variables.

Additional expectations

• Strong judgment in prioritization and time management is considered essential.
• The role emphasizes remediation support and operational continuity in a live environment.

Good-to-have

• Exposure to JIRA, Jenkins, Docker, and DevOps toolchains.
• Experience with migration projects involving file transfer systems.
