Role overview
This part-time remote position supports the Ministry’s work on privatisation transactions, public-private partnerships, and sector reform efforts. The role is centered on detailed financial analysis, planning, and communication that helps inform decisions for public-sector initiatives and proposed deals.
Key responsibilities
The Financial Analyst will examine financial statements, develop financial models, and carry out forecasting and planning for government entities and transaction proposals. The role also includes preparing concise financial reports and presentations, assisting with due diligence work, and helping draft transaction materials and policy briefs.
In addition, the analyst will work with internal teams and outside stakeholders to evaluate financial feasibility, spot potential risks, and recommend practical, data-backed options that support the Ministry’s reform and transparency goals.
Qualifications and requirements
- A solid grounding in finance, with hands-on exposure to financial planning and analysis.
- Ability to review financial statements and produce clear financial reporting outputs.
- Strong analytical capability, including quantitative analysis, financial modeling, and scenario evaluation.
- Skill in explaining complex financial information through written reports, dashboards, and presentations.
- A bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business, or a related discipline; an advanced degree or a qualification such as CFA or ACCA is beneficial.
- Prior exposure to public-sector finance, infrastructure projects, or privatisation/PPP work is preferred.
- High integrity, strong attention to detail, and a commitment to transparent, evidence-led decisions.
- Comfort with working independently in a remote, part-time environment while coordinating virtually with varied teams and stakeholders.
