Role Overview

This is Cassidy’s first Finance Manager hire and a key foundational position for someone who wants to build the company’s finance function from the ground up. The role goes beyond traditional back-office work and places you close to strategic decision-making, pricing choices, investor communication, and company planning.

You will work directly with the CEO and broader leadership team on forecasting, fundraising preparation, and financial decision support. The expectation is that you will own the numbers that matter and help shape how they are used across the business.

Key Responsibilities

• Take full ownership of core SaaS metrics, including ARR, MRR, churn, expansion, NRR, and unit economics.
• Develop dashboards and reporting tools that leadership will actively use.
• Translate financial data into actionable insights that influence decisions.
• Analyze and refine pricing strategy, including packaging, discounts, renewals, and expansion opportunities.
• Oversee customer contracts from a financial perspective, covering pricing, terms, and revenue recognition.
• Keep sales, billing, and reporting aligned and consistent.
• Create and maintain budgeting, forecasting, and scenario-planning models.
• Lead the monthly close process, financial statements, and cash flow monitoring.
• Handle vendor payments, expense management, and everyday finance operations.
• Work with People Ops on payroll, benefits administration, and headcount planning.
• Prepare board materials, investor updates, and fundraising presentations with the CEO.
• Coordinate with outside bookkeeping and accounting partners to ensure clean books.
• Design finance processes that can support the company today and scale with future growth.
• Build the systems and infrastructure needed for a high-performing finance function.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in finance within a high-growth SaaS or technology company.
• Strong understanding of SaaS business metrics such as ARR, cohorts, and NRR.
• Proven financial modeling ability, especially in forecasts that have influenced business decisions.
• Working knowledge of the contract-to-cash cycle, including revenue recognition and reporting.
• Exceptional accuracy and care when working with financial data.
• Ability to explain financial insights clearly to colleagues outside of finance.
• Comfort taking ownership and working hands-on in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience as an early finance hire at a Series A or Series B company.
• Background in preparing board decks and investor-facing materials.
• Practical experience with SaaS billing tools or ASC 606 revenue recognition.
• Familiarity with systems such as QuickBooks, NetSuite, Ramp, Gusto, Carta, or similar platforms.
