Role summary

Safeway Canmore, part of Sobeys, is hiring a Courtesy Clerk for its Front End team in Canmore, Alberta. This role can be either part time or full time, and it focuses on helping keep the checkout area running smoothly while delivering a friendly customer experience.

What you will do

In this position, you will assist shoppers at the front end by bagging groceries, returning unwanted items to the sales floor, gathering baskets and carts, handling wet cleanups, and supporting general cleanliness across the store front and restrooms. You may also help customers carry groceries to their cars and complete price checks when needed.

Physical demands

The work includes regular movement and manual tasks. You should be prepared for frequent lifting of 10 to 30 pounds, occasional lifting up to 50 pounds, constant walking, reaching, and balancing, as well as frequent standing, bending, pushing, pulling, and hand coordination. There may also be occasional outdoor work in changing weather conditions.
