Role overview

We are looking for an organised and driven Cleaning Area Manager to take ownership of cleaning operations across the assigned area. The position focuses on maintaining high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and presentation while improving how the service is delivered day to day.

The role is 40 hours per week across 5 days, and there may be occasional Saturday working.

What you will do

  • Oversee and coordinate cleaning teams so work is completed efficiently and productively.
  • Track stock levels and manage the supply of cleaning materials, tools, and equipment.
  • Hire, induct, train, and supervise cleaning employees.
  • Lead and encourage the team to meet agreed goals and performance expectations.
  • Review performance, give helpful feedback, and arrange training to support ongoing development.
  • Work with clients to understand their site-specific cleaning needs and service expectations.
  • Share progress updates, respond to client issues, and help maintain strong client satisfaction.
  • Prepare and control budgets for consumables, equipment, and staffing needs.
