Analytics Product Analyst

About the Role

Volvo Cars is looking for an Analytics Product Analyst to support its move toward a data product operating model. Based in Mahwah, NJ, this onsite role focuses on building analytics that are scalable, reliable, and aligned with enterprise data standards. The position helps transform raw information into practical insights that improve business performance, inform strategy, and support innovation.

What You'll Do

• Create, enhance, and maintain analytics data products and a scalable semantic layer that helps deliver usable insights across the organization.
• Work with business stakeholders to turn broad business questions into repeatable analytics use cases and clear data needs.
• Define and maintain KPIs, metrics, and measurement frameworks that are aligned with governed data domains.
• Partner with data product owners, engineering teams, and analytics teams to deliver solutions that are scalable, well-governed, and consistent with enterprise data models.
• Use modern analytics platforms, automation, and AI-enabled features to speed up insight generation and reduce dependence on traditional reporting methods.
• Support data governance activities, including data definitions, lineage, metadata management, and data quality standards.
• Convert complex data findings into clear, persuasive insights and narratives for business leaders and senior stakeholders.
• Help shape the shift to a data product-led analytics approach by supporting standards, documentation, and operating practices.
• Evaluate and adopt new analytics and AI technologies to expand capabilities over time.

What You'll Bring

• At least 2 years of experience in analytics, business intelligence, or data product-related roles.
• Hands-on experience with modern analytics tools and platforms such as Power BI, Snowflake, or Snowflake Cortex.
• Strong SQL skills, including querying large datasets; experience with NoSQL data is a plus.
• Working understanding of data governance, data modeling, and modern data architecture concepts.
• Exposure to AI-enabled analytics tools and workflows.
• Strong analytical ability and comfort turning unclear business questions into structured analysis.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to present findings to non-technical audiences.
• Experience with cloud data platforms such as Azure, Snowflake, or BigQuery is preferred.

Compensation

The stated salary range for this role is $93,482 to $173,609. Final pay is influenced by experience, qualifications, internal equity, location, and company policy.
