Role overview
This is a full-time, on-site Welder position in Singapore. The selected candidate will carry out welding work across construction, repair, and fabrication assignments, using methods such as arc, TIG, and MIG welding. The role also includes understanding technical drawings, looking after tools and equipment, and maintaining required safety and quality levels. Team collaboration to diagnose and solve on-site technical issues may also be part of the job.
Key responsibilities
- Carry out welding operations using arc, TIG, and MIG processes as needed.
- Work with different materials for fabrication, repair, and construction-related tasks.
- Study blueprints, sketches, and engineering drawings to complete work accurately.
- Keep welding tools and equipment in good working condition.
- Follow workplace quality checks and safety procedures at all times.
- Coordinate with co-workers to address and resolve technical issues on site.
Qualifications
- Practical ability in arc welding, TIG welding, and MIG welding.
- Hands-on experience with welding work and a range of materials.
- Careful attention to detail and strong respect for quality and safety standards.
- Ability to read and understand blueprints and technical engineering drawings.
- Prior background in welding or fabrication is preferred.
- Understanding of welding equipment upkeep and repair is an added advantage.
- Good physical endurance and comfort working in different site conditions.
- Relevant welding certifications will be considered a plus.
