Role overview

This position is for subject tutors who will join the ELMY247 network and support students across the curricula the platform serves. Tutors will deliver one-to-one online lessons, choose their own availability, and work with learners who are either preparing for exams or strengthening subject fundamentals. Students are matched to tutors by subject, level, and learning need, so sessions are focused and relevant. The work is online and offers flexibility to fit around existing commitments.

Qualifications and expectations

Applicants should hold a bachelor’s degree or higher in the subject they teach, or a recognised teaching certification. Experience in tutoring or teaching at IGCSE, A-Level, IB, national curriculum, IELTS, or TOEFL level is required. A solid understanding of the relevant exam board syllabus and assessment standards is important. Tutors must have dependable internet access and be comfortable leading online sessions. The role also calls for calm, clear communication, with the ability to explain ideas in different ways without discouraging students. Professional conduct is essential, including punctuality and consistent follow-through so students and parents can rely on sessions starting as scheduled.

Preferred background

It is an advantage to have experience with Cambridge International examinations and prior involvement in exam-focused preparation or past-paper based teaching.
