The Role
Working from Auckland and reporting to the Team Leader, this position focuses on delivering trenchless renewal work safely, efficiently, and to a high standard across the three waters network. The technician must also ensure that work processes and installation standard operating procedures are followed so that Veolia and client outcomes are achieved.

Key Duties
- Carry out wastewater and stormwater renewal upgrades on site.
- Support the regional operations team whenever needed.
- Make sure all vehicles and equipment remain fit for use, and escalate any faults or unserviceable items to the construction manager as soon as they are noticed.
- Help manage health, safety, quality, and environmental systems on site, applying the required procedures in all work activities.
- Follow Veolia New Zealand health, safety, and environmental policies, including taking part in toolbox talks and health and safety meetings.
- Comply with all written and spoken instructions, procedures, and guidance issued by Veolia New Zealand regarding safety and environmental matters, as well as the relevant parts of the Integrated Business Management System Manual.
- Raise any issues affecting the business management system, especially those linked to occupational health and safety, the environment, and drinking water.
- Perform other general tasks needed to deliver services effectively to clients and customers.
Skills and Qualifications
- Confined space certification.
- Working at heights certification.
- First aid certification.
- Site Safe certification.
- Level 4 Pipeline and Construction Maintenance qualification with a Trenchless Technologies strand, or a willingness to work toward it.
- Current Class 2 driver licence, preferably Class 4 as well, with WTR and F endorsements.
Experience Needed
- At least 5 years of experience in trenchless renewal technologies such as spiral lining, fold and form, or CIPP within wastewater and stormwater networks.
- Strong capability in operating robotic cutters, CCTV systems, and LJR/Tophat installation systems.
- Prior work in three waters network operations and maintenance would be an advantage.
