Role Overview
This opportunity is for a Salesforce Test Engineer based in Hyderabad. The role requires 5 to 10 years of experience and focuses on validating Salesforce solutions across functional, integration, and user acceptance testing activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Review business needs and turn them into practical test scenarios, detailed test cases, and relevant test data.
- Carry out functional, regression, system, integration, and UAT testing.
- Test Salesforce platforms and modules including Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and Experience Cloud.
- Check custom Apex classes, triggers, Visualforce pages, and Lightning components for quality and correctness.
- Validate automation built through workflows, Process Builder, and flows.
- Perform API and integration checks for REST and SOAP services.
- Record, follow up on, and manage defects using tools such as JIRA and Azure DevOps.
- Work closely with developers, business analysts, and other stakeholders to resolve issues.
- Support data validation and ETL testing where needed.
- Take part in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
- Follow established testing standards and quality best practices.
Required Skills
- Strong working knowledge of the Salesforce platform.
- Hands-on experience testing Sales Cloud and Service Cloud.
- Comfort with Lightning UI testing.
- Basic familiarity with Apex and SOQL.
- Good understanding of Salesforce objects, validation rules, workflows, and flows.
- Experience using test management tools such as JIRA, TestRail, or ALM.
- Exposure to API testing tools like Postman and SoapUI.
- Working knowledge of SQL and data reconciliation/validation.
- Preferred exposure to automation tools such as Selenium, Provar, UFT, or Cypress.
- Knowledge of CI/CD environments such as Jenkins or Azure DevOps.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving ability.
- Effective communication skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to operate well in Agile teams.
Additional Requirements
The role is best suited for candidates with Salesforce certification, such as Salesforce Administrator, Platform App Builder, or Provar-related credentials. Experience in data migration, integration testing, and business domains like Sales, CRM, or Customer Support will be an advantage. Exposure to performance testing using JMeter, Salesforce DevOps practices, and Einstein Analytics or other AI features is also considered beneficial.
Education
A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field is preferred. Candidates with B.Sc. in any specialization, B.C.A. in any specialization, or B.Tech/B.E. in any specialization are eligible to apply.
