Role overview
Suger is hiring a Recruiter to support its fast-growing teams across GTM, Engineering, Product, and Operations. The role is suited to someone who enjoys sourcing proactively, building relationships with strong candidates, and helping persuasive storytelling turn passive talent into future teammates. This position works closely with founders and hiring managers in a startup environment where team-building is moving quickly.
This is a hybrid role with 4 days per week in the Downtown Vancouver office.
What you will do
- Work with hiring managers across GTM, Engineering, Product, and Operations to shape hiring plans, define candidate profiles, and prioritize roles.
- Handle end-to-end recruiting, including sourcing, screening, interview scheduling, debrief coordination, offer handling, and candidate closing.
- Create and maintain talent pipelines through active sourcing on LinkedIn Recruiter, Boolean search, sourcing platforms such as Gem and Juicebox, referrals, and tech communities.
- Ensure candidates have a smooth, organized, and positive experience throughout the hiring process.
- Keep ATS records current in Lever, monitor pipeline health, and share hiring progress and insights with stakeholders.
- Improve recruiting workflows, sourcing approaches, and employer branding efforts as the business grows.
- Provide support with HR administration for Canadian employees when required.
What the company is looking for
The ideal candidate has at least 3 years of full-cycle recruiting experience in a startup or other high-growth setting. Experience hiring for GTM, Engineering, Product, and/or Business Operations roles is important, along with a strong ability to source candidates proactively and build pipelines from the ground up. Comfort working with ATS platforms such as Lever or Ashby, strong outreach skills for engaging passive talent, and excellent communication and stakeholder management are also key.
Compensation and benefits
The salary range for this position is CAD 75,000 to CAD 90,000 per year, depending on experience, market location, and overall fit.
