Job Description
The Programme Associate plays a crucial role in supporting the planning, coordination, and execution of programmes and community initiatives aimed at enhancing the well-being of seniors and the broader community. This position involves comprehensive programme administration, active community outreach, effective volunteer engagement, diligent KPI tracking, and essential operational support to ensure the seamless and effective delivery of services.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation, coordination, and execution of various programmes and events.
- Conduct regular home visits and engage with the community through various outreach activities.
- Deliver programmes and activities tailored to meet the specific needs of seniors and the community.
- Support in conducting basic assessments, gathering pertinent data, and compiling reports and log sheets for submission.
- Monitor programme expenditures to ensure they remain within allocated budgets.
- Collaborate with the Reporting Officer to review programme effectiveness and ensure alignment with centre objectives.
- Aid in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and yearly reports as mandated by funding bodies and management.
- Adhere to established service frameworks, operational procedures, and best practices for programme implementation.
- Identify emerging trends and community needs to improve programme relevance and impact.
- Work collaboratively with community partners and organizations to achieve programme objectives.
Community Outreach and Engagement
- Implement strategic outreach initiatives, roadshows, and community engagement activities.
- Collect vital information from community stakeholders and service users.
- Facilitate connections for seniors and residents to appropriate community resources and support services.
- Provide support for services including home visits, medical escorts, and other community-based activities.
Volunteer Management
- Collaborate closely with volunteers during the execution of programmes and activities.
- Clearly communicate programme objectives and provide necessary guidance to volunteers.
- Support efforts in volunteer recruitment, engagement, and retention.
- Cultivate relationships with community partners and organizations to broaden volunteer networks.
Compliance and Administration
- Periodically consolidate and monitor Key Performance Indicator (KPI) status.
- Ensure that KPIs are met within the timelines stipulated by funding agencies.
- Maintain meticulous documentation, records, and reports.
- Verify that programme operations and expenditures comply with organizational and funding requirements.
- Undertake additional duties as assigned.
Qualification & Skills
- A Diploma in any field from an accredited institution is required.
- Previous experience in programme coordination, event planning, or community work is advantageous.
- Recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
Requirements and Competencies
- Demonstrated people-oriented approach with strong interpersonal and relationship-building capabilities.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and comfort with various IT platforms.
- Fluency in local languages and dialects is a plus.
