Role overview

This position is based in Uran, Maharashtra, and focuses on shift-level terminal and logistics operations. The role is responsible for controlling product movement, reducing losses, maintaining quality and safety standards, and ensuring smooth coordination across terminal, transport, and compliance activities.

Key responsibilities

  • Keep ocean transit and operating losses within the defined limits.
  • Carry out accurate product accounting, review daily gains or losses, and take corrective action where needed.
  • Study transit and ocean losses by parcel, then drive recoveries, claims, and corrective measures in a timely manner.
  • Make sure TLCU, prover, weighbridge, and tank truck calibration are completed correctly.
  • Complete end-of-day reconciliation before leaving the terminal.
  • Work within approved budgets while actively lowering costs.
  • Track and control utility expenses and operating consumables.
  • Prevent demurrage charges during vessel unloading at the terminal.
  • Maintain zero product contamination.
  • Support strong quality and quantity performance along with improved service delivery.
  • Ensure product reaches customers on schedule.
  • Prevent complaints related to density variation, water, or sludge/sediment by arranging periodic tank draining.
  • Monitor truck cycle time inside the terminal so dispatches happen without delay.
  • Induct tank trucks according to SOPs and maintain proper records.
  • Follow operations, HSSE, and quality SOPs and apply accepted industry practices.
  • Maintain daily reconciliation of locks, keys, and seals.
  • Handle tank truck calibration, pressure testing, and issue of TREM cards at the terminal.
  • Ensure systems and processes for operations, maintenance, quality, and HSSE are followed and audited regularly with no non-conformities.
  • Work with the logistic coordinator and TT officer to confirm truck availability, extra/spot requirements, and the status of loaded trucks.
  • Ensure all statutory obligations are met, including timely renewal of licenses.
  • Support learning and development activities.
  • Conduct toolbox talks for tank truck crews and other contract personnel.
