The role is based in the Riyadh Region and is a full-time, onsite position.
Role Summary
The Jr. Machine Operator will be responsible for running the processing line and its equipment in a structured and efficient way. The role focuses on meeting production goals, improving line performance, reducing process waste, tracking hourly process checks, supporting quality discussions, maintaining hygiene and housekeeping, and promptly escalating food safety or operational concerns. The position also involves preparing daily material-usage summaries, monitoring utility consumption, managing assigned process workers, and ensuring the machinery and work area consistently meet good manufacturing practice standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate the processing line in a controlled and efficient manner to help meet production targets.
- Improve line efficiency and reduce waste during processing.
- Record hourly process-control checks and share the results as required.
- Participate in quality wall meetings at the required intervals.
- Keep raw materials available near the line for upcoming production runs.
- Maintain equipment hygiene and ensure stations remain in good working order.
- Check that the line consistently reaches the efficiency levels set by the business.
- Work toward the material-efficiency goals established by the business.
- Raise day-to-day issues to direct managers without delay.
- Track material losses, prepare daily material-usage summaries, and calculate material efficiency.
- Report repair or maintenance needs to Engineering through MP2.
- Supervise process workers assigned to the line, including break timing, cleaning during flavour changeovers, and time-in/time-out tracking.
- Carry out proper patrols and checklist-based inspections to keep the line or workstation in good condition.
- Report any health hazards in the workplace to the immediate manager.
- Ensure the production of quality goods at all times.
- Coordinate daily issues and shift activities with other shifts.
- Promote teamwork and cooperation within the team.
- Support IPS audits and food safety audits.
- Use utilities such as water, gas, and electricity efficiently.
- Contribute to the ongoing improvement of the EHS Management System in line with applicable legislation, PepsiCo GEHSMS, and relevant EHS standards.
- Ensure proper controls are in place for hazards and risks, and help achieve EHS targets.
- Operate, control, and maintain processing equipment to convert raw materials into finished products in line with KPI expectations.
- Make practical decisions aimed at maximizing yield conversion and output.
- Repair and maintain essential processing equipment to support line efficiency.
- Stop production, in consultation with the Laboratory Technician, if output is found to be out of specification.
Requirements
- Industrial Training Institute (ITI) graduation is required.
- At least basic communication ability is expected.
- A positive work attitude and willingness to contribute are important.
- The candidate should be able to independently handle and operate process equipment.
- At least 2 years of experience in a manufacturing or processing environment is preferred, although this may be waived if the candidate has a tertiary background.
