Janitor

Role Overview

Allied Universal’s facility management and janitorial division is looking for a dependable janitor to carry out general cleaning and preservation duties across one building or several client locations. The work can vary based on client needs, so flexibility and the ability to adapt to assigned tasks are important.

This team supports commercial facilities with cleaning, landscaping, restoration, maintenance, and related services. The organization emphasizes stable work, collaboration, and the opportunity to build a long-term career in the industry.

Compensation for this role is $16.80 per hour.

What You Will Do

• Remove trash and waste from the site, clean waste containers, and wipe them down as needed.
• Empty ashtrays, check sand urns, and replenish sand when necessary.
• Dust picture frames, charts, graphs, wall décor, and similar items.
• Clean ceiling diffusers, air-conditioning vents, partition grilles, registers, and other ventilation fittings.
• Vacuum mats and carpeted sections in offices, lobbies, and hallways.
• Dust and clean furniture, files, fixtures, paneling, window ledges, and other flat surfaces.
• Polish metal fixtures, hardware, and other brightwork.
• Clean tile flooring and carry out floor care as required.
• Wipe and polish glass surfaces and furnishings.
• Clean glass on entry doors, both inside and outside.
• Remove marks and stains from doors, frames, light-switch areas, private entry glass, and dividers.
• Wash, clean, and sanitize water coolers.
• Sweep stairways and vacuum them when they are carpeted.
• Sweep, mop, clean, and maintain building floors.
• Clean, sanitize, and replenish bathroom supplies.

Requirements

• Ability to understand and follow both spoken and written instructions.
• At least 6 months of experience in a janitorial or similar cleaning role.
