Key responsibilities
The role includes reviewing IVMS information, identifying risk patterns, preparing reports, maintaining system accuracy, and supporting health, safety, environment and quality practices. It also requires coordination with internal teams, handling sensitive information responsibly, and contributing to process and performance improvements.
Detailed responsibilities
- Promote a strong safety-first mindset and lead by example within the team.
- Support initiatives that improve health and safety outcomes across the workgroup.
- Model positive safety behaviours aligned with Thiess and MACA HSEQ policies, procedures, and standards.
- Take responsibility for managing injured workers and supporting timely return-to-work processes.
- Encourage a culture of ongoing improvement while maintaining high-quality systems and processes.
- Review IVMS data to spot trends, incidents, and operational risks.
- Ensure all data handling follows relevant regulations, privacy rules, and security requirements.
- Record entries, incidents, and exceptions accurately for compliance and investigation purposes.
- Respond to system alerts or flagged events and coordinate timely action with HSEQ or operations teams.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly IVMS reports for management review.
- Create and maintain dashboards and visual summaries using Excel or similar tools.
- Check that the IVMS platform is working properly and that data is captured accurately.
- Investigate and resolve issues related to data capture, access control, or system performance.
- Collaborate with site and maintenance teams to fix system issues and support updates.
- Look for opportunities to reduce costs through better use of technology, improved processes, or system integration without affecting performance standards.
- Encourage the agreed Thiess/MACA behaviours consistently.
- Promote continuous professional development within the team and broader organisation.
- Build effective working relationships with senior leaders, frontline staff, and team members.
- Set clear expectations for direct reports, monitor performance, and take timely action when standards are not met, following company procedures.
- Carry out orientation for new direct reports.
Candidate profile

Experience and skills
