Role overview
This position is part of JD Group’s indirect procurement function, supporting its business in Europe with an emphasis on categories such as warehousing, equipment, consumables, interior refurbishment, administration, and related spend areas.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee procurement activities across the assigned business scope, from intake of purchase needs through supplier identification, plan development, purchasing execution, and vendor performance tracking.
- Improve procurement workflows so that sourcing and purchasing activities are carried out efficiently and aligned with business expectations.
- Monitor and control procurement spend by reviewing demand patterns, building suitable procurement approaches for the business model, and using cost and historical data to keep costs reasonable.
- Develop and maintain strong supplier partnerships and contribute to a healthy, sustainable supplier ecosystem.
- Review procurement data on a regular basis and identify opportunities to enhance processes, performance, and innovation.
