Role Overview
This opportunity is with a utilities company seeking an HR Recruiter to support talent acquisition activities for a 6-month contract running from July 2026 through January 2027. The role is based in Tampa and follows a hybrid schedule with four days onsite and one day working remotely each week.
Compensation
Pay is set at $36 to $38 per hour.

This position is restricted to U.S. citizens or green card holders only.
Education
A bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources, or an equivalent mix of education and experience is required. Professional certification such as PHR or SPHR is preferred.
Experience Profile
Candidates should bring at least 2 years of experience in talent acquisition, recruitment/staffing, or human resources, with exposure to end-to-end recruitment. Experience recruiting in a corporate environment, or a combination of corporate and agency settings, is ideal. Strong sourcing and screening ability, along with a consultative approach to supporting business unit leaders, is important. The role also calls for a high level of initiative, urgency, organization, project coordination, communication skills, and the ability to stay flexible while managing multiple priorities. Familiarity with applicant tracking systems and proactive sourcing is a plus.
Responsibilities
The Talent Acquisition Contractor will work with the internal TA team and, at times, business leaders to understand hiring needs and role requirements.
- Collaborate with the internal talent acquisition team and business stakeholders to clarify position needs and hiring expectations.
- Help implement recruiting approaches that attract strong candidates while supporting a fair and inclusive hiring process.
- Review applications, search for potential candidates, and match talent to role requirements.
- Carry out pre-screening interviews with applicants.
- Organize interview logistics, including preparing interview guides, booking rooms, sending calendar invites, and arranging materials.
- Keep candidates informed and maintain regular communication throughout the recruitment process.

The assignment is a 6-month contract. The location is Tampa, with a hybrid schedule requiring four days in the office and one day remote each week.
