Role Overview

This full-time, on-site Host position is based in Ludhiana. The person in this role will be the first point of contact for guests, ensuring they are greeted promptly, guided appropriately, and made to feel comfortable and informed. The role includes managing reservations or guest queues, working closely with service staff, handling routine questions, and keeping the reception or waiting area neat and well organized.

Key Duties

• Welcome guests and direct them to their seating area in a courteous, professional manner.
• Manage bookings, waiting lists, or guest queues as needed.
• Coordinate with the serving team to ensure smooth service flow.
• Respond to common guest questions about services and menu items.
• Keep the front area clean, orderly, and presentable.
• Address minor guest concerns and pass special requests to the right team member.
• Support promotional efforts and help highlight special offerings when appropriate.
• Share observations and suggestions that can improve the guest experience.
• Follow all workplace safety and operational procedures.

Qualifications

• Confident verbal communication, active listening, and the ability to speak politely and clearly.
• Strong guest service orientation with a problem-solving and hospitality-first mindset.
• Experience in helping train or guide new team members is useful.
• Basic understanding of food and beverage service, including menus, dietary preferences, and service sequencing.
• Comfort with recommending items, promoting specials, and supporting upselling in a tactful way.
• Good organization and multitasking abilities, especially in a busy environment.
• Availability for flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Background in hospitality, restaurants, or front-of-house work is preferred but not required.
• High school completion or an equivalent qualification; additional hospitality or customer service training is an advantage.
