• Use knowledge of relevant material and product standards such as ASTM, ASME, ANSI, JIS, DIN, EN, and GOST.
• Stay current on welding procedure documentation, including WPS, PQR, and WPQ, along with periodic updates and revisions.
• Recognize different welding and brazing filler materials and the equipment used with them.

Manufacturing support

• Design and develop shop-level jigs and fixtures needed for fabrication and welding operations.
• Review, approve, manage, and raise indents for general consumables and factory operating supplies used in fabrication shops.
