The Energy and Industrial division is experiencing significant expansion, supported by the successful delivery of several Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects that are now in commissioning. With a strong project pipeline covering the next 3 to 5 years, the team is contributing to Australia’s changing energy landscape.

Role Overview

An experienced Document Controller is required for the Western Australia team. The position is based on a 10 days on / 4 days off roster and involves DIDO work from Perth, approximately 2.5 hours away. The role is central to keeping project documentation accurate, compliant, and properly managed throughout the full project lifecycle.

You will oversee document control systems and make sure all project files are stored, tracked, and shared in accordance with UGL procedures and project-specific standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee both commercial and technical project documentation.
• Handle document control tasks such as scanning, filing, and issuing drawings and correspondence.
• Keep document registers current and accurate.
• Follow and uphold document control policies and workflows.
• Administer the controlled Document Management System (DMS).
• Issue controlled versions of approved documents and drawings to project stakeholders.
• Work with internal teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to preserve document accuracy and version control.

Candidate Profile

The ideal applicant brings prior experience in a Document Controller position, preferably in construction, infrastructure, or energy projects. You should understand document control systems, procedures, and day-to-day workflows, and be comfortable using document management platforms such as Aconex, TeamBinder, or comparable tools.

This role suits someone with a sharp eye for detail, strong organisational ability, clear communication skills, and confidence managing stakeholders. Experience in a fast-moving, site-based project environment is important.
