Data Analyst

Overview

A global HR and staffing organisation is hiring for a data-focused role to help deliver a new enterprise data warehouse. The position sits within a business that connects talent with opportunity and uses data-driven insights to support better decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Work with business stakeholders to collect, analyse, and record the data needs for the new warehouse platform.
• Define source system inputs, transformation logic, business rules, and the data quality standards required.
• Review both existing and future reporting needs across different departments.
• Create functional specifications, process flows, data mapping documents, and reporting requirement packs.
• Partner with Data Engineers, BI Developers, Architects, and Project Managers to make sure requirements are understood and implemented correctly.
• Help shape and check reporting outputs, dashboards, and KPI definitions.

Requirements

• Demonstrable experience in gathering and documenting incoming data requirements.
• Strong analytical ability to evaluate business reporting needs.
• Capability to convert business requirements into functional data and reporting specifications.
• Background working with data warehouse environments and business intelligence tools.
• Clear communication and effective stakeholder management skills.
• Experience supporting data validation, user acceptance testing (UAT), and change management.
