Role Overview
The company is hiring a Data Analyst to join its Data Warehouse and BI team. This position is centered on expanding the reach and business impact of a modern analytics platform through report creation, model development, and dependable support of production reporting used across the organization.
The role involves close collaboration with teams in operations, finance, dispatch, inventory, vendor management, and other functions. Success in this position depends on building strong working relationships, understanding business context, and turning messy, multi-system data into trusted insights.
The data environment includes multiple ERP systems with different structures and conventions. A major part of the job is reconciling these differences and creating a clean, standardized view that enables accurate comparison across entities and source systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Create, improve, and support Power BI dashboards, reports, semantic models, and alerts for finance, operations, inventory, dispatch, and vendor management.
- Use advanced SQL in Snowflake to explore data, build models, and answer business questions.
- Develop and revise dbt models that standardize data from several ERPs into one consistent schema.
- Design data structures that are scalable, easy to consume, and suitable for both human users and automated agents.
- Align different source-system definitions such as chart of accounts, item masters, customer and vendor records, and transaction types so reporting reflects a true like-for-like comparison.
- Work with stakeholders to gather requirements, understand operational needs, and convert business questions into reliable reporting outputs.
- Identify patterns, anomalies, and opportunities for improvement in the data and share them proactively.
- Track Fivetran pipelines, dbt executions, and Power BI refreshes, and troubleshoot data quality or pipeline failures.
- Handle ad hoc data requests that support business decisions and initiatives.
- Document data models, definitions, and report logic clearly so knowledge is accessible across the team.
Required Experience and Qualifications
- At least 2 years of professional experience in data analysis, analytics engineering, or BI development.
- Advanced SQL capability, including CTEs, window functions, indexing, stored procedures, performance tuning, and debugging complex joins on large datasets.
- Solid understanding of relational databases and scalable design principles.
- Very strong Power BI expertise, including DAX, data modeling, calculation groups, alerting, operational use cases with Power Apps, performance tuning, row-level security, and report design best practices.
- Familiarity with cloud data warehouses such as Snowflake or OneLake and modern ELT workflows.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to develop trust and effective partnerships with business stakeholders.
- Comfort working independently in a remote environment without day-to-day oversight.
- Experience using AI tools to speed up analytics work, including model development, DAX writing, documentation, code review, and communication with stakeholders.

- 10 paid holidays each year
- Flexible time off
- 401(k) with company match
