This is a steady Auckland Metro driving role for a Class 4 flat deck truck driver who wants reliable daytime work, consistent hours, and evenings at home. The position offers long-term stability with a respected local cartage business.

Key duties

In this role, you will operate a Class 4 flat deck truck throughout the Auckland metro area, collecting and delivering loads for manufacturing customers.

• Drive a Class 4 flat deck truck safely across Auckland metro routes
• Load and unload forklift-handled freight at manufacturing sites
• Secure cargo properly using straps and other required restraints
• Carry out daily vehicle inspections and checks
• Maintain an accurate and current logbook
• Keep the truck tidy and report defects or concerns without delay
• Comply with road rules and work-time regulations
• Arrive on time and present the business professionally to customers

What you need

• A valid Class 4 driver licence
• A forklift licence or solid hands-on forklift experience
• Previous experience with flat deck trucks and load restraint
• Confidence driving in Auckland metro delivery areas
• A strong focus on health and safety
• A dependable, punctual, and professional approach
• New Zealand work rights
